I didn’t know love could be this way.
Or maybe I never knew love until I loved you.
Whichever it is, it’s a feeling I’ve never before felt
and I don’t think I could ever feel it with any other human being.
I want to breathe it in, I can’t get close enough to it,
it draws me, lifts me up, possesses me
and I don’t want to remember what it’s like to be without it.

Her raven tresses lay soft & sure
Like a waterfall, so clear, so pure,
Upon her shoulders, snowy white
Like the moonlit glow on a winter’s night.

Her eyes alight with passion anew
Like the meadows glittering morning dew,
Burn deep into my heart & mind
Like a Summers day her beauty shined.

Her touch so gentle, velvet hands
Like the deserts rolling, warming sands,
Sends tingles through my very soul
Like an Autumn days romantic stroll.

Her heart so fragile yet warm & strong
Like the Larks most enchanting song,
Causes me to stumble & fall
Like a baby’s first attempts to crawl.

Her very being excites me so
Like a fairground ride, my senses glow
She’ll be forever my model girl
And I’ll be forever in a whirl..

From the Genesis of our created love,
Springs this season of celebration,
Signs and wonders from above,
Brought forth God’s Revelation.

Within this, our day, I sow my vows,
The seeds to my remaining life,
Surrendered, here-in, to Beauteous Bride
Now stood before me as my Wife.

Love’s olive tree, so rich with fruit,
Shoots forth from soil of hearts divine,
To end the season of love’s pursuit,
For now the Lord has made you mine.

Amongst the wheat there grows no weeds,
For this love I hold is pure and true,
The love that blossoms from these seeds,
Flourishes, Elaine, only for you.

And, so to God I raise my hand,
With glowing heart I lift my voice,
To thank Him for a Love so Grand,
And Bride who makes my heart rejoice.
